Startup Extreme (SX) Conference

Parts of the SevenSix team participated in the innovation conference Startup Extreme (SX). The conference, which was held for the fifth time this year, brings together entrepreneurs, startups, investors and international press for two active and fast-paced days in beautiful surroundings in Voss, Western Norway.

The purpose of Startup Extreme is to give the Norwegian startup company an international arena to showcase their products and services. From the big stage in the festival tent, well-known, international speakers and startups both from Norway and abroad shared their experiences and tips. The outdoor festival area had several meeting points where the participants could connect with other brands and companies, expand their network and learn from each other.

At SevenSix we recognize this approach, to democratizing knowledge and provide more opportunities and tools to succeed. from our own business strategy. We work hard to develop solutions that will give more tennis players around the world the opportunity to excel from new technology and methodology for player development. In this way, players can develop and improve their skills throughout their lives.

This year, Startup Extreme coincides with another major event at Voss, the world’s largest extreme sports festival Ekstremsportveko. It’s far from coincidental, as the Startup Extreme team have thrown their forces together with the organizers of Ekstremsportveko. This year’s conference opened therefore with a number of activities for the SX participants, among them rafting, climbing, mountain biking, tandem skydiving and paragliding. This was an excellent opportunity to get to know the other conference participants in a unique and informal setting.

This sports-related theme of the conference contributed to SevenSix standing out among the 700 SX participants, as we were one of the few startups present working with sports tech. We had some very exciting meetings with investors and other startup companies that are as well working on developing new and groundbreaking technological solutions.

The record-high participation at this year’s startup conference is a valid illustration of the high activity in the startup scene in Norway today. With the recent acquisition of Nabobil by the American giant Getaround, Norway is becoming one of Europe’s most exciting incubators for technology companies with a global perspective. SevenSix is a leader in its field in sports tech in Norway. We are very happy to have participated in this exciting initiative, which is also supported by our partners Innovation Norway and Argentum. Now we are looking forward to several exciting events and meeting places for entrepreneurs!
